The Best FIFA Football Awards have taken place since 2017 as part of FIFA’s plan to create an award in their organisation.
Previously FIFA partnered up with France Football in the iconic Ballon d’Or award, but that link ended in 2016, as FIFA devised their own award for top players and coaches.
