Arsenal made the short trip to Fulham in the Premier League on New Year’s Eve for their final game of 2023.
The Gunners will have another stab at the end of the calendar year at the top of the table when they lost 2-0 at home to West Ham on Thursday, December 28. The result left them two points behind leaders Liverpool after sitting top of the table on Christmas Day for the second season in a row.
Fulham will be hoping for a change of fortune at the turn of the year after losing their last three Premier League games. Marco Silva’s side, who won 5-0 in back-to-back games against Nottingham Forest and West Ham, have since lost to Newcastle United, Burnley and Bournemouth without scoring.
The Cottagers have gone 11 games without a win against Arsenal, stretching back to January 2012. The Gunners have lost just three of their 33 games in that fixture.

Marco Silva will be able to recall Raul Jimenez after his suspension, but USMNT international Tim Ream is doubtful.
However, Brazil star Willian is expected to miss out with a thigh strain, as is Adama Traore.
Mikel Arteta has no changes to the injury list, but Kai Havertz is back in the squad after his suspension against West Ham. Eddie Nketiah could come in to freshen up a forward line that has struggled for the top spot in recent games.
