Dani Olmo rejects Manchester City transfer links

Spain v Germany - 2019 UEFA U-21 Championship Final

Spanish international Dani Olmo is not interested in completing a move to Manchester City.

City are rumored to be in the market for a new midfielder before the Premier League’s summer transfer window closes on September 1.

Pep Guardiola is scrambling to cover following Kevin De Bruyne’s injury and Ilkay Gundogan’s move to Barcelona.

Interest in West Ham star Lucas Paquet has diminished in recent days, with Guardiola exploring his options, including rumors of a link with Olmo.

However, despite rumors of a possible move to the Premier League, Olmo insisted his focus is solely on succeeding at RB Leipzig in the coming months.

“There is nothing wrong with Manchester City. I am concentrating on my work in Leipzig, the Bundesliga, UCL and the cup. City are one of the best teams in the world, Guardiol went there, but I’m happy here,” Diario AS quotes.

Olmo scored an incredible hat-trick in the 3-0 German Supercup final against Bayern Munich to open the 2023/24 campaign, scoring in the Bundesliga season-opening defeat at Bayer Leverkusen.
