Man City vs Arsenal Possible Starting lineups for Premier League 2023/24

Manchester City and Arsenal face off in a crucial Premier League title clash on March 31, 2024.

Both sides return from the international break looking to play in the title race and their meeting at the Etihad Stadium this weekend is set to be a crucial clash.

Arsenal have the title lead with ten games remaining, but Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to defend the 2023 treble and will be determined to turn things around down the stretch.

Team news

Kyle Walker and John Stones will both miss the clash with Arsenal due to injuries on international duty, Guardiola confirmed in his pre-match press conference.

Manuel Akanji reportedly withdrew from international duty in Switzerland on Tuesday, leaving Pep Guardiola with further problems at the back, but he is expected to be available.

Add these two injuries to the existing problems of Ederson, Kevin De Bruyne, and Jack Grealish, and it means City may have to field an unfamiliar line-up.

Like City, Arsenal have to contend with several international injuries. Gabriel Magalhaes has withdrawn from the Brazil squad, however, he is expected to be fit to complement William Saliba’s backup.

Bukayo Saka has left the England squad and Arteta has said he still needs to train this week ahead of the game, blowing up his status.

Gabriel Jesus has struggled with knee problems in recent months but a return to his former side is in the cards.

Man City predicted XI: Ortega (GK) — Lewis, Akanji, Dias, Ake — Rodri, Kovacic — Foden, Alvarez, Silva — Haaland.

Arsenal predicted XI: Raya (GK) — White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior — Rice, Jorginho, Odegaard — Jesus, Havertz, Saka.
