Bayern Munich vs Mainz Player rating as Harry Kane sets new record In Bundesliga

Harry Kane became the first player to score 4 hat-tricks on his Bundesliga debut after starring in Bayern Munich’s 8-1 thrashing of Mainz.

Harry Kane has now scored 36 goals in just 34 games in all competitions in a brilliant first year in the Bundesliga. The 30-year-old has also bagged ten assists in that time to cement his status as one of the world’s best forwards.

Harry Kane has taken just 25 Bundesliga games to reach 30 goals in the competition and was on hand to open the scoring for Bayern Munich in a game that Thomas Tuchel’s side simply had to win.

Goretzka doubled the advantage before Harry Kane restored Bayern’s two-goal cushion – Nadiem Amiri reduced the arrears for Mainz just after half an hour – in the seventh minute of extra time.

Thomas Muller made it four two minutes after the break before Jamal Musiala benefited from Harry Kane’s excellent assist 14 minutes later – the former Tottenham striker played a superb pass across the field behind the Mainz defense for Musiala to cut inside and fire into the bottom corner.

Serge Gnabry added a sixth four minutes before Harry Kane grabbed his third of the afternoon – a simple header from close range after former Spurs team-mate Eric Dier had been cleared from Raphael Guerreiro’s corner.
