Barcelona 1 – 0 Las Palmas: Player Rating as Raphinha on target as Blaugrana edge past 10-man Las Palmas

Raphinha’s 2nd-half goal helped Barcelona beat 10-man Las Palmas 1-0 to cut the gap on La Liga leaders Real Madrid to 5 points.

Barcelona saw 2 goals go offside and Robert Lewandowski hit the post, but Las Palmas goalkeeper Alvaro Valles was shown a red card in the 25th minute for a foul on Raphinha.

Barca initially failed to capitalize on the extra man, but Joao Felix came off the bench to provide Raphinh with a delicately balanced ball to head into the net in the 59th minute.

Joao Felix could have given Barcelona some space but conspired to hit the goal from close range. However, the home side extended their unbeaten streak in all competitions to 11 games.

The Catalan giants were far from their best against mid-table opponents who are now winless in their last half-dozen league games, but kept the pressure on Real, who welcome Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
