Arsenal 1-0 Porto Player ratings as Mikel Arteta’s side edge past Porto to end quarterfinal wait

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were rewarded for their dominant performances in Group B with a UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw against Porto.

Arsenal were favorites to progress against the Portuguese Team, having won five out of six on their return to Europe’s top flight after a six-season absence.

However, prior to the UEFA Europa League years, Arsenal had a miserable run at this stage of the competition. After losing to Barcelona in the 2009/10 quarter-finals, Arsenal suffered six successive round of 16 exits.

It looked like they might suffer another upset when an injury-time goal from Galen gave FC Porto a 1-0 win in the first leg.

Leandro Trossard leveled the tie at the Emirate Stadium before a tense encounter went to penalties where David Raya was the Gunner hero.
