Al Ain vs Al Nassr Player Rating as Al Nassr defeated in first leg of AFC Champions League quarterfinal vs Al Ain

Cristiano Ronaldo Al Nassr

Al Ain took a first-leg advantage over Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in the AFC Champions League quarter-finals thanks to Soufiane Rahimi’s superb first-half finish.

It was CR7’s first game back following a one-match suspension after he made an “obscene gesture” towards Al Shabab fans last month.

Al Ain supporters continued to jeer the Portuguese star in Abu Dhabi and his frustration grew when he was famously denied by Khalid Eissa late in the second half.

The UAE side initially thought they had taken the lead in the 28th minute when Kaku slotted past David Ospina. It was a nice finish, but VAR intervened and called the game back for offside in the play-off.
