The Argentine Youngstar Thiago Almada talked about the team qualifying for the Paris Olympics and that Lionel Messi could be with the team in Paris.
Almada captained Argentina U23 to a 1–0 win against Brazil U23 and their qualification for the Olympics. In an interview with DSports, here’s what Almada had to say:
“I’m very happy for the group and the coaching staff, they deserve it. Throughout the tournament we showed that we were better, we always outplayed our opponents.
“We have time to train and continue to improve for the Olympics. Today they attacked us only twice, we played an excellent match.
“I hope Leo Messi has the desire and can be at the Olympics, it would be a dream. If Leo Messi comes, of course I will give him the captain’s armband. Now it is up to them to decide if they will come.’
