Inter Miami is in the final stages of its pre-season preparations. Tomorrow, the Herons will play their final friendly against Newell’s Old Boys at DRV PNK Stadium at 12:30 PM ET. It’s a nostalgic reunion for Lionel Messi as the captain will face his childhood side where it all started. On the other hand, the Argentinian club will try to leave an indelible mark on the North American audience.

Inter Miami suffer a shock defeat against Vissel Kobe during their Japanese tour. After 90 minutes and extra time, the match was decided by penalties, which the team without Lionel Messi lost 4-3. This latest defeat adds to their previous losses against FC Dallas, Al Hilal and Al Nassr.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Larriera’s side were beaten 0-4 by Racing Club in the first phase of Argentina’s Primera Division. However, this does not make them a weaker side. Tata Martino and Co. must expect a surprise from the club based in South America.
