Vizela will invite Benfica to the Estádio do Vizela on Thursday in the quarter-finals of the Taca de Portugal.

The visitors booked their place in the round of 16 with a 1-0 win over Arouca last month. It was an even match, Nino Galović’s own goal in the 76th minute helped them win. Interestingly, they have suffered four straight defeats since that win, failing to score in the last two.

The guests secured their place in the quarter-finals with a 3:2 home win over Braga. Former Braga winger Rafa Silva opened his scoring account in the 42nd minute, while Fredrik Aursnes bagged the match-winner in the 70th minute. Since then, they have won four of their five matches, with the only loss in that fixture coming in a penalty shoot-out in the Taca da Liga semi-finals last month.

They won 3-0 over Gil Vicente in the Primeira Liga on Sunday to move ahead of arch-rivals Sporting into pole position in the league table.
