Argentina will face Ecuador and Guatemala in the United States in June as warm-ups ahead of the Copa America.

The 2022 World Cup winners will face South American rivals Ecuador at Chicago’s Soldier Field on June 9 before playing Guatemala five days later at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

The U.S. will host the Copa America for the second time in eight years and play two warm-up games against defending champions Argentina.

Argentina will open their Copa America campaign on June 21 against the CONCACAF playoff winners in Atlanta, before completing the group stage with a match against Chile in New Jersey on June 25 and then against Peru in Miami four days later.

The world champions have already agreed to play two friendlies in the US in March after their scheduled matches in China were canceled following Lionel Messi’s absence from Inter Miami’s friendly in Hong Kong earlier this month.

Lionel Scaloni’s will play El Salvador at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on March 22 before taking on Nigeria on March 26 at the LA Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles.

El Salvador will replace Cote d’Ivoire, with whom Argentina was originally scheduled to play in one of the two friendlies.
