Senegal vs Cameroon possible lineups, team news and TV Channel for AFCON 2023

Defending champions Senegal are looking to secure a knockout spot when they face fellow continental powers Cameroon in the second leg of Group C at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Lions of Teranga dispatched The Gambia with ease in their opener as star forward Sadio Mane pulled the strings in a 3-0 win. After scoring a goal after just four minutes, Senegal took advantage of a man advantage just before half-time en route to a comfortable victory.

It leaves Senegal knowing that three points would mathematically confirm a place in the knockout stages, and with Guinea dropping points against Gambia, they could see themselves already secured as group winners with a game to go.

Much of Cameroon’s fortunes in this match and the tournament as a whole will depend on the fitness of star striker Vincent Aboubakar, who missed the opener against Guinea with a groin injury and is unlikely to feature in that match as well. Aboubakar won the AFCON 2021 Golden Boot and was sorely missed as Cameroon failed to win despite playing half the match with the man advantage.

Senegal possible starting lineup:

Mendy; Jakobs, Koulibaly, Niakhate, Diatta; Gueye, A. Diallo, Camara; Mane, H. Diallo, Sarr

Cameroon possible starting lineup:

Onana; Yongwa, Wooh, Moukoudi, Castelletto; Anguissa, Kemen, Ntcham; Koudou, Ekambi, Magri
