Real Madrid vs Almeria Possible Starting lineups for La Liga 2023/2024

Real Madrid are back in La Liga action on January 21 at home to Almeria as Carlo Ancelotti’s side look to erase their title loss to leaders Girona.

Ancelotti led his side to an impressive 4-1 Spanish Supercopa final win over Barcelona last week as Los Blancos claimed their first trophy of the 2023/24 season.

Real Madrid can clinch top spot in La Liga with a win in this game – with Girona visiting Sevilla later – ahead of key league games against the Catalans and city rivals Atletico Madrid in early February.

Team news

Ancelotti has confirmed he will replace Kepa Arrizabalaga back in the squad for La Liga matches in 2024 and could reshuffle his midfield with Luka Modric coming on.

Worst side Almeria are missing the influential Idrissa Babu on AFCON duty with striker Leo Baptista serving a one-match ban.

Real Madrid (4-3-3): Arrizabalaga (GK) — Carvajal, Nacho, Rudiger, Mendy — Modric, Bellingham, Tchouameni — Valverde, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.

Almeria (4-5-1): Maximiano (GK) — Pubill, Montes, Chumi, Akieme — Arribas, Gonzalez, Robertone, Loby, Embarba — Suarez.
