Liverpool vs Chelsea Possible Lineups and TV Channel for Premier League 2023/24

This week’s Premier League clash between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday (January 31).

The hosts are coming off a comfortable 5-2 home win over Norwich City in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the weekend. Five men made it to the scoresheet. Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Virgil Van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch scored to help the Reds book a date in the fifth round with either Watford or Southampton.

Chelsea, meanwhile, could not separate themselves with a goalless draw at home to Aston Villa in the cup, forcing a replay next week. The Blues have been focusing back on the league since their 1-0 home win over Fulham a fortnight ago. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s last league game was a 4-0 win at Bournemouth last weekend.

The win means the Reds are five points clear at the summit having collected 48 points from 21 games as they seek a second Premier League crown. Chelsea, meanwhile, are 17 points worse in ninth place.

Team News

The Reds face defensive challenges with Matip, Alexander-Arnold, and Tsimikas sidelined, along with Salah’s absence due to knee ligament damage. Even if Salah recovers, he may miss games representing Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations. Endo is also out for the AFC Asian Cup. Klopp plans to maintain the strongest XI for momentum.

The Blues are missing Fofana, Cucurella, James, and potentially Sanchez. Petrovic may step in as the goalkeeper. Lavia is doubtful, and Jackson is unavailable as he gears for Senegal’s AFCON round of 16. Pochettino intends to stick with the winning XI against Fulham in the last league game.

Liverpool predicted lineup

Alisson; Gomez, Van Dijk, Konate, Bradley; Jones, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch; Gakpo, Nunez, Jota

Chelsea predicted lineup

Petrovic; Badiashile, Silva, Disasi, Gilchrist; Fernandez, Caicedo; Sterling, Gallagher, Madueke; Palmer
