Argentina U23 vs Chile U23 Possible Lineups & TV Channel for CONMEBOL pre-Olympic tournament 2024

Argentina’s U23 team is closing in on a possible qualification spot for the 2024 Olympics in a CONMEBOL mini-tournament in Venezuela.

All 10 CONMEBOL teams have been divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the next stage, where the top two nations from the second mini-league qualify for the Olympics.

Argentina have taken four points from two games so far in the competition after a 1-1 draw with Paraguay and a 2-0 win over Peru.

Team news

The Argentina team is captained by Atlanta star Thiago Almada and the tournament offered Premier League fans a chance to see new Brighton & Hove Albion left-back Valentino Barca with Manchester City striker Claudio Echeverri in attack.

Echeverri agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal in Manchester earlier this month but will remain at River Plate on loan until 2025.

All but two of Chile’s 23-man squad play their club football in Chile’s Primera Division, the exceptions being Athletico Paranaense winger Luciano Arriagada and Norwich City goalkeeper Vicente Reyes.

Argentina U23 (4-3-1-2): Brey (GK) — Garcia, De Cesare, Valentini, Barco — Fernandez, Media, Sforza — Almada — Echeverri, Casto.

Chile U23 (4-3-3): Reyes (GK) — Gutierrez, Vidal Tapia, Villagra, Vasquez Poblete — Perez, Cordero Romo, V. Pizarro — D. Pizarro, Aravena, Barturen.
