Who is the top goal scorer Footballer in 2023?

Cristiano Ronaldo took a huge risk when he decided to play in Saudi Arabia after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. However, almost a year later, his performances with Al Nassr have been amazing.

The Portuguese legend paved the way for many stars to play in the country. Neymar, Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane or Yassine Bounou are some of the names that saw CR7 as the leading figure of a football revolution.

Of course, the big question for Cristiano Ronaldo is whether retirement is imminent. The legend is 38 years old, but alongside Lionel Messi in MLS, he continues to prove that age is no barrier.

Right now, Al Nassr are second in the Saudi Pro League behind Al Hilal and have already booked their ticket to the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League.

This achievement surpassed the 52 goals scored by Harry Kane (57 games) and Kylian Mbappe (53 games) with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Remarkably, both Kane and Mbappe cannot now reclaim top spot as their clubs are set to resume official competitions only in 2024.

The only potential rival, Erling Haaland, has scored 50 goals in 60 games for Manchester City.

However, injury has ruled him out of the Club World Cup and he may not be available for Saturday’s game against Sheffield United.
