Manchester City vs Fluminense Possible Lineups, Team News, TV Channel for 2023 FIFA Club World Cup

Manchester City will look to make club history by taking on Brazil’s Fluminense in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup final on December 22.

City claimed their first ever UEFA Champions League title at the end of the 2022/23 season as Pep Guardiola’s side lifted the domestic and European trophies at the end of the campaign.

After seeing off Urawa Red Diamonds with a 3-0 semi-final win, City can now claim their debut World Cup title if they can overcome Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense.

Guardiola will not miss star striker Erling Haaland in the final, Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku will also be outside of him. All three players are injured, but FIFA Club World Cup rules state that players not included in the 23-man semi-final squad cannot be included in the final.

However, Guardiola is likely to tweak his starting line-up, with Julian Alvarez and Josko Gvardiol tipped as potential starters in Jeddah.

Fluminense secured a 2-0 semi-final victory over Al Ahly to book a date with City and their starting XI will feature high-profile names including veteran duo Felipe Melo and Marcelo alongside the highly-rated Andre in midfield.

Man City predicted lineup (4-3-3):

31. Ederson — 2. Kyle Walker, 25. Manuel Akanji, 6. Nathan Ake, 24. Josko Gvardiol — 16. Rodri, 5. John Stones, 8. Mateo Kovacic — 47. Phil Foden, 19. Julian Alvarez, 20, Bernardo Silva.
