Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich Player Rating as Bayern unbeaten run ends with Frankfurt thrashing

Bayern Munich lost for the first time in the Bundesliga 2023/24 this season in stunning fashion, with Eintracht Frankfurt putting the champions to the sword on Saturday.

Eintracht had lost four consecutive games in all competitions heading into this one but took the lead after 12 minutes when Farès Chaïbi’s effort came back off the crossbar and Omar Marmoush was on hand to score his seventh goal of the season.

The second goal came after 31 minutes and the scorer was Éric Dina Ebimbe, whose shot flew through Manuel Neuer’s hand.

Bayern got even worse in the afternoon when they fell three minutes later. Joshua Kimmich lost possession cheaply and was punished by Hugo Larsson finding the net.

Kimmich made up for the mistake by pulling a goal back from distance just before half-time, but Dina Ebimbe got his second early in the second half to make it 4-1 after Dayot Upamecano was caught in possession.

It got worse for Thomas Tuchel’s side just after the hour when Ansgar Knauff raced past Neuer to rub salt in the wounds.

The result leaves Bayern three points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who face third-placed Stuttgart on Sunday.
