Bayern Munich vs Union Berlin Lineups, Team News, TV Channel & Live Streaming for Bundesliga 2023/24

The Bundesliga is back in action with another set of fixtures this weekend as Union Berlin take on Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich in an important clash at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Union Berlin are currently 17th in the Bundesliga table and have not been at their best so far this season. The visitors drew 1-1 with Braga in the UEFA Champions League this week and will need to make amends in this match.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich are currently second in the league table and have been quite impressive so far this season. The Bavarian giants were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw by FC Copenhagen in their previous game and have a lot to prove this weekend.

Team news

Apart from Matthise de Ligt, Thomas Tuchel says he has almost his entire squad at his disposal. It’s hard to say whether everyone is fully fit, but at least Noussair Mazraoui and Kim Min-jae should be available to start.

However, only two names are guaranteed. The first is Harry Kane, for obvious reasons. The other is Leroy Sané, as he sometimes feels that Bayern Munich cannot create a chance without him. Thomas Müller may get one last starting opportunity before being dropped to the bench as Jamal Musiala is back from injury. At the bottom of the line-up, Kingsley Coman may be the preferred option, given Tuchel’s reluctance to use Serge Gnabry since his return from injury.

Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are the obvious candidates in midfield, leaving the defense open to back-up duo Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae. Noussair Mazraoui could resume his starting role ahead of Konrad Laimer at right-back, with Alphonso Davies at left-back. With Manuel Neuer between the sticks, you get a line-up that looks a bit like this:

Probable Lineups

Bayern Muncich : Neuer (c) – Laimer, Upamecano, Kim, Davies – Kimmich, Goretzka – Sané, Müller, Coman – Kane
