Argentina U17 win 4-0 vs. Poland at the U-17 World Cup and top the group

Argentina’s under-17 team won 4-0 against Poland at the World Cup as they top the group.

Diego Placente’s side opened the U17 World Cup with a 2-1 loss against Senegal but have won their last two matches. Argentina took on Poland on Friday and will qualify for the round of 16 at the World Cup with a 4-0 win.

Argentina took the lead 1-0 after a corner kick. The ball was sent into the penalty area and it was Thiago Ezequiel Laplace who put Argentina 1-0 up.

Agustin Ruberto would score in the second half, his third U17 World Cup goal. It was a through ball for Ruberto, who was able to parry his defender and score.

Great play from right-back Gimenez and his pass trickled past the keeper but fell to Ian Subiabre who scored Argentina’s third goal of the game. Subiabre would also get an assist.

A dribble from Subiabre and a pass from Argentina’s half found Santiago Lopez who scored to give Argentina a 4-0 lead.

The Placente team will now play on November 21 against the third best placed team in groups B, E and F which could be either Uzbekistan, South Korea, Burkina Faso, Venezuela. Mexico or New Zealand.
