Argentina national team announced for November World Cup 2026 qualifiers vs. Uruguay, Brazil

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has announced his squad for the two World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil.

The world champions will play the first of two World Cup qualifiers on November 16 against Uruguay and the second on November 21 against Brazil.

Lionel Scaloni has called up 28 players for World Cup qualifiers, with Paulo Dybala and Giovani Lo Celso returning to the squad. Pablo Maffeo, who was born in Barcelona to an Argentinian mother, is called up to Argentina’s national team for the first time, as is Olympiacos’ Francisco Ortgega.

Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Atlanta United’s Thiago Almada are not part of the squad. Almada is with the Argentina U23 team for their friendlies against Japan. Here are the players Scaloni has selected for the two games in November
