After overcoming Al Ettifaq with an extra-time home win in the King’s Cup on Tuesday, Al Nassr will be hoping for a more straightforward evening when Al Khaleej are their visitors on Saturday in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Khaleej started the weekend 13th in the table and three points above the relegation zone, while Al Nassr can consolidate second place for now with their second positive result of the week.
Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo cut a fiery figure at times as his side saw off Al Ettifaq in a game in which both teams were unimpressed by the refereeing decisions.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner went almost four hours without a goal during the home game for Al Nassr, although he is the top scorer in the top flight with 11.
