Bolivia will host Ecuador at the Estadio Hernando Siles on Thursday in the next round of their CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The home side endured a poor start to their World Cup qualifying campaign, kicking it off with a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Brazil. They then faced world champions Argentina in their second group game, suffering a 3-0 defeat at the Estadio Hernando Siles to record a fourth successive defeat against La Albiceleste.
Bolivia is at the very bottom of the group table with zero points. They will now be looking to shake off their recent results and get their first win in qualifying this week.
Meanwhile, Ecuador faced Argentina in their first match and suffered a 1-0 defeat after Lionel Messi sent a late free-kick past Hernan Galindez in the goal. However, they returned to winning ways in their next game, beating Uruguay 2–1 as Felix Torres scored in both halves to help overcome a one-goal deficit.
The visitors took three points from the federation and remain on zero points going into the third day of the qualifiers.
