The coach of the Argentine national team, Lionel Scaloni, has already completed two training sessions this week and there is already speculation about the starting eleven with the expected start of Lionel Messi.

The World Cup champions take on Paraguay on Thursday and according to TyC Sports, there won’t be too many changes from how the team normally looks. Without Ángel Di María, who was not called up due to injury, Nicolás González is expected to start up front.

Lionel Messi is also set to start after returning from injury as he trained normally with the team on both days. Upfront with Messi and González will be Julián Álvarez and Lautaro Martínez.

Marcos Acuña missed the September games due to injury but is back and it will be between him and Nicolás Tagliafico on the left, with Nahuel Molina or Gonzalo Montiel starting on the right. Among them will be the regular duo of Cristian Romero and Nicolás Otamendi.

The midfield is expected to be the same that started against Ecuador and Bolivia, namely Rodrigo De Paul, Alexis Mac Allister and Enzo Fernández. Here is the famous starting eleven:

Emiliano Martínez; Nahuel Molina or Gonzalo Montiel, Cristian Romero, Nicolás Otamendi, Nicolás Tagliafico or Marcos Acuña; Rodrigo De Paul, Enzo Fernández, Alexis Mac Allister; Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez or Lautaro Martínez and Nicolás González.
