Inter Milan will continue their impressive start to the season when they visit the Stadio Arechi on Saturday (30 September) to face Salernitana in the seventh round of Serie A.
Salernitana are chasing points at the bottom of the points table as they await their first league win of the season. They lost 1-0 against Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Wednesday.
Paul Sousa’s side have gone six games without a win and lost three this season. Salernitana is 17th in the standings with three points, just one point above lowest-placed Cagliari.
Meanwhile, Inter suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 2-1 to Sassuolo at the San Siro on Wednesday. Earlier, Simone Inzaghi’s men saw their four-game winning streak end with a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad in their opening UEFA Champions League group game on September 20. This came four days before they beat Empoli 1-0.
Despite their midweek defeat, Inter remain at the top of Serie A with 15 points adrift of second-placed AC Milan.
