Poland will entertain the Faroe Islands at the National Stadium in Warsaw on Thursday in the group stage of UEFA Euro 2024 qualification.
The visitors are bottom of the Group E table having not won in their first three matches of the campaign. The home side haven’t fared much better and have just one win from three games and are in fourth place in the table.
The home side lost 3-2 away to Moldova in their previous match in June. Strikers Robert Lewandowski and Arkadiusz Milik gave Poland a two-goal lead already in the first half. Despite dominating possession in the second half, they gave away their lead and conceded the third goal in the 85th minute.
The Faroe Islands suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Albania in their previous match in June. It was their second defeat in as many qualifying matches.
