The home side drew 1-1 with Damac in their last league outing. They returned to winning ways on Monday with a narrow but utterly dominant 1-0 win over Al-Jabalain in the King’s Cup, thanks to a second-half strike from Portugal international Ruben Neves.
Al-Hilal are second in the league table with 17 points from seven games. They are just one point behind Al-Ittihad at the top of the pile and will leapfrog them with maximum points.
Al-Shabab, meanwhile, have endured a slow start to their season but have found form recently. Last time they beat Al-Hazem 4:1 in the league. Yannick Carrasco and Fawaz Al-Sagour gave the White Lion a two-goal lead at the break before Ever Banega made sure of the points in the second half.
