Manchester United vs. Bayern Munich is the standout match that has eliminated the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League group stage draw, while Real Madrid are in the same group as Napoli.
The draw followed its usual format, with the 32 qualifiers divided into eight groups of four, A-H.
Before the draw, all competing clubs were allocated to one of four banks, with one team from each bank going into each group. Two clubs from the same country could not be drawn into the same group.
Manchester City and Sevilla came out on top as the reigning holders of the Champions League and Europa League respectively. They were joined by the champions of UEFA’s top leagues, with the exception of the Premier League, as Manchester City had already occupied that spot as English champions.
City will face RB Leipzig again in Europe as they look to defend their title. Meanwhile, Newcastle have been drawn into possibly the toughest group of all alongside Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund in their first return to the Champions League in 20 years.
In their first season in the competition since 1957/58, Belgian champions Royal Antwerp were placed in the same group as five-time winners Barcelona.

When is the 2024 Champions League final?
This season’s Champions League final will be played at Wembley on 1 June 2024.
It is the eighth time the final will have been held at the world famous venue, including five European Cup final at the original stadium. The most recent Wembley final in this competition was an all-German affair between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
