Peru vs Brazil Possible starting lineups and team news for World Cup 2026 qualifier

Peru and Brazil face off on Tuesday, September 12 in the second matchday of South America’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

La Blanquirroja managed to hold Paraguay to a draw on their debut despite playing the entire second half with 10 men as Luis Advincula was sent off just before the half-time break.

On the other hand, the Selecao claimed a commanding 5-1 victory over Bolivia to start paving their way to the next World Cup. Will Fernando Diniz’s team build on this and make it two wins in a row?

Injury & team news for Peru vs Brazil

With Peru right-back Luis Advincula earning a double booking to receive a red against Paraguay, he will be out of action against Brazil. Aldo Corzo could fix that spot for now, and everything else is seemingly in place for head coach Juan Reynos.

However, the Brazilian team had to withdraw the Arsenal center back to the 85th position. Indeed, Gabriel Magalhaes suffered hard contact on the thigh and could be out of the game for Peru. Former AS Roma defender Roger Ibañez could start in his place as interim head coach Fernando Diniz looks to continue his winning ways.

Peru predicted lineup (4-2-3-1):

Gallesse (GK); Corzo, Araujo, Abram, Lopez; Tapia, Yotun; Polo, Gonzales, Carrillo; Guerrero

Brazil predicted lineup (4-2-3-1):

Ederson (GK); Danilo, Marquinhos, Ibanez, Lodi; Guimaraes, Casemiro; Raphinha, Neymar, Rodrygo; Richarlison
