Lisandro Martínez is injured and will miss Argentina’s World Cup 2026 qualifiers in October.
Martínez will not be with the Argentina team in October. Manchester United announced on Friday that he “will be sidelined for an extended period” after aggravating an injury he suffered last April.
The club announced that he suffered a setback during the game against Arsenal, but continued in the next two games against Brighton and Bayern Munich. They also said assessments are underway to decide what the next steps will be.
Argentina play Paraguay on October 12 in a World Cup qualifier and face Peru in the second leg on October 17.
