Napoli take on Augsburg at the Stadio Teofilo Patini in a pre-season friendly on Sunday (August 6).
Napoli are coming off their first Serie A title at the age of 23 and have continued their solid form in pre-season, going unbeaten in four friendlies and winning three times. In their previous match, they drew 1-1 with Girona thanks to a Giovanni Simeone penalty before winning the shoot-out 3-1.
Meanwhile, Augsburg also enjoyed an unbeaten pre-season, winning four out of five matches. They beat Ajax 3-1 in their previous game thanks to a brace from Sven Michel and a first-half strike from Phillip Tietz.
After that match, the reigning Serie A champions will face Apollon in their final pre-season friendly before starting their title defense against Frosinone later this month.
It will be Augsburg’s last friendly of the season as they take on Unterhaching in the first round of the DFB-Pokal next Sunday.
