Manchester United will finish their pre-season with a friendly against Athletic Club of La Liga on Sunday.
The Red Devils returned home from their tour of the United States with a 3-1 victory against Lens at Old Trafford on Saturday and the turnaround for their final pre-season game will be short.
Erik ten Haga’s men will make the short trip to the Irish capital Dublin to take on an Athletic Club side who finished an impressive eighth last season but have won just one of their five summer friendlies so far.
The Hag, who played just over 24 hours earlier against Lens, is likely to call up those short on legs this weekend.
That means stars like Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Raphael Varane and Casemiro are unlikely to sit out, while new signings Mason Mount and Andre Onana will also be watching from the sidelines.
Rasmus Hojlund was officially introduced as Man Utd’s newest signing before kick-off against Lens, but he is coming off a minor injury during Atalanta’s training session and is currently unavailable for selection. Amad Diallo, Anthony Martial and Tyrell Malacia are also on the treatment table.
Fans at the Aviva Stadium will witness Harry Maguire, Christian Eriksen or Donny van de Beek take to the pitch.
