Two big Premier League clubs hoping to improve on last season will clash at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea and Liverpool kick off their league campaigns.
Both sides finished outside the top four in 2022/23 and missed out on UEFA Champions League football this season. Yet both have spent furiously in the transfer market, hoping to rebuild their squads in a bid to move back up the table.
Liverpool have almost completely overhauled their midfield as Jurgen Klopp has brought in plenty of new teeth as club legends such as Jordan Henderson and James Milner have departed. Chelsea, meanwhile, continued to chop and change the roster as owner Todd Boehly expanded transfer deals around the world.
With both clubs hoping to kick off a renewed league season, one side could see the new campaign get off to a disappointing start.
