Spain U21 will face Ukraine U21 in their third European U21 Championship 2023 group match on Tuesday (June 27) at the Superbet Arena.
La Rojita enjoyed a strong continental campaign to book their place in the last 16. Spain beat tournament co-hosts Romania 3-0 in their opening match before beating Croatia 1-0 on Friday, with Sporting Braga striker Abel Ruiz scoring the winner.
Meanwhile, Ukraine also performed well in the competition, kicking things off with a 2-0 win over Croatia. Oleksiy Kaschuk and Shakhtar Donetsk striker Danylo Sikan got on the scoresheet in both halves. They then beat Romania 1–0 in their next game, benefiting from a late own goal after missing several scoring chances.
