Two heavyweights of women’s football will meet in the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League when FC Barcelona Femeni take on German VFL giants Wolfsburg on June 3 at the Phillips Stadium in Eindhoven.
Barcelona are in their fourth final in five years and are looking to go one better than their heartbreaking defeat in last year’s final against Lyon; their win would see them level with their rivals for all Champions League wins.
Wolfsburg meanwhile are looking to end their season on a high after failing to win the German League title, as well as winning their first UEFA Champions League Final since 2014.
Wolfsburg have also lost the last three Champions League Finals they have played in, and are looking to avoid the statistic of having the most Champions League Final losses.
