Lionel Messi has spoken about what has changed since he won the World Cup and the World Cup itself.

Messi finished football. There is no trophy with the Argentine national team or in European football that he has not won. And the greatest player experienced his pinnacle moment on December 18, 2022 when he lifted the World Cup trophy above his head.

The Argentine gave an interview to Bein Sports and an excerpt was published on Friday. The interview was published on Saturday. Here’s what he had to say when asked about the World Cup itself and the match against Saudi Arabia:

“Starting off the first match that way was one of the keys. It was a hard hit for us. From there, we started to play in a different way because we knew that any mistake could result in us being out.

“We all believed that it was going to be the easiest match in the group and it was the opposite. Seeing it today with everythnig that happened, it was a blow at the right time and it suited us well.”

“In my day to day, my life or training, absolutely nothing has changed for me being a world champion. The only thing I can say is that we have one more star in the history of World Cups. Nothing is missing. I got everything.”
