Ecuador kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 defeat against the USA on Saturday. Jonathan Gomez scored the winning goal in the third minute after injury time. Slovakia, meanwhile, were on a rampage after a 4-0 win over Fiji.

Adam Gazi and Mate Szolgai scored first-half goals, while Artur Gajdos and Timotej Jambor scored quick strikes in the second half to complete the promotion. The win saw Team Europe top the group with three points. Ecuador are third in the standings and still looking for their first point of the campaign.
