Real Madrid close to deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham

The fight for Jude Bellingham appears to have won by Real Madrid, according to reports on Wednesday.

MARCA claim an agreement in principle has been reached for the England international and he will join them this summer.

If there are no issues with the deal, Bellingham will put pen to paper on a deal with Los Blancos until the summer of 2029, which would see him earn €20m per season.

Although Bild report that Borussia Dortmund are demanding a fee of €140m for the midfielder, Real expect to eventually secure his signature for between €100m and €120m.

Furthermore, the same outlet in Germany also reports that Real officials are due to arrive in Dortmund soon with the player’s agent and father Mark to try and seal a deal.

Both Liverpool and Manchester City were keen on his services, seemingly offering Bellingham more than the Champions League holders.

It is also claimed that no deal will be announced before the Bundesliga season ends, with his Dortmund side still in with a chance of their first title in a decade.
