After lifting the inaugural Europa Conference League title last season, Jose Mourinho looks to push AS Roma one step further as the Italian side visits Dutch club Feyenoord in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarterfinal matchup.
Feyenoord will be looking for revenge having gone down 1-0 to the Roma side in the Conference League final and the two will now meet in the slightly more prestigious tournament next year.
This encounter is a clash of styles as Feyenoord have thrashed the Dutch competition this season, beating Shakhtar Donetsk 8-2 in the Europa League round of 16. Nevertheless, they will meet the Roma defense, which has blocked the Italian opposition for the last few months.
The first half of these matches can often be tense as clubs try to survive into the second 90-minute affair. The Roma will especially take it to heart when they return home to the Italian capital next week.
