Paris Saint-Germain head into their clash with Rennes on Sunday hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table.

PSG are ten points ahead of nearest contenders Marseille and have won their last four league games but the recent UEFA Champions League exit continues to dominate the back pages in France.

Rennes are still in the Champions League qualification conversation but injuries to some key players has disrupted their rythym recently.

Paris Saint-Germain team news

A number of key first-team stars remain on the sidelines for PSG. Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Neymar, Presnel Kimpembe and Nordi Mukiele are already out, and they have been joined by Sergio Ramos after a calf injury disrupted Thursday’s training session.

Ramos is a confirmed absentee but silence appears to be golden when it comes to Lionel Messi. The Argentine missed the same training session for an unknown reason but was not mentioned in the club’s injury report, so he should be fine.

Carlos Soler has also been ruled out with a muscle injury.
