Chelsea have announced that they have completed a deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a British record transfer fee.
Benfica confirmed in the early hours of Wednesday that the Blues will pay a staggering €121m fee to offload the Argentine World Cup winner.
The two sides held talks throughout the January transfer window, but the move was not officially announced until after the deadline.
But Chelsea have now confirmed that Fernandez has signed for Stamford Bridge, becoming their eighth and final signing of the winter window.
Chelsea have already brought in Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, Mykhail Mudryk, Joao Felix, Noni Madueke, Andrea Santos and Malo Gust, the latter of whom will return to Lyon on loan for the rest of the season.
Fernandez only joined Benfica in the summer of 2022 from River Plate, with Wolves pushing the Portuguese side all the way in the opening race for his signature.
