Paris Saint-Germain will be without multiple players for its Coupe de France round of 64 fixture against Chateauroux.
On Thursday, PSG released their squad list for the Coupe de France match and Lionel Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi will not feature in the competition. Messi recently returned from his World Cup holiday while Mbappe and Hakimi are currently out of the squad.
On the other hand, PSG manager Christophe Galtier announced during his pre-match press conference on Thursday that Neymar will not be available for the game against Chateauroux as the club’s medical staff attend to his sprained ankle.
In addition, Nuno Mendes (hamstring), Renato Sanches (bruise) and Presnel Kimpembe (tendonitis in right Achilles tendon) will also miss out due to their injuries.
Gianluigi Donnarumma was not included in PSG’s squad list for the competition. Galtier noted on Thursday that Keylor Navas will be the starting goalkeeper against Chateauroux.
Finally, Marco Verratti will be ruled out of this French Cup match due to a yellow card suspension.
PSG will certainly be looking to bounce back from their recent Ligue 1 loss away to RC Lens.
