Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez are all pushing for starts as Liverpool host Rangers in a mouthwatering UEFA Champions League clash.
All three came off the bench in the 3-3 draw with Brighton, with Diaz assisting Roberto Firmino’s equaliser, and will be hoping for more minutes in the intense atmosphere at Anfield.
Firmino, despite his two goals on Saturday, could make the cut alongside Fabio Carvalho.
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s form has been under the spotlight of late and he did himself no favors against the Seagulls, but he is in no danger of losing his place.
Liverpool are still juggling a heavy injury list. Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konate are both out with knee injuries and are close to returning, but Rangers’ visit is likely to come too soon. The road to Arsenal is more certain.
Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (both thigh injuries) watch next week, while Curtis Jones and Calvin Ramsey, calf and back injuries, face extended spells on the sidelines.
Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Elliott, Henderson, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Diaz
Doubts: Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate
Injured: Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones and Calvin Ramsey
