Liverpool have Thiago Alcantara available again for the visit of Leeds.
Thiago missed the defeat at Nottingham Forest due to an ear infection which has since cleared up, although team-mate Jordan Henderson may miss the game.
The Reds captain injured his knee in Wednesday’s 3-0 UEFA Champions League win at Ajax and manager Jurgen Klopp said: “We have to wait a while with Hende, it’s a knock, the knee was a bit stiff. Thursday], had only treatment.
“So we’ll see how he is [on Friday]. I expect him to be fine to be honest.”
Both Fabinho and Harvey Elliott can deputize for Henderson, while Curtis Jones and James Milner push for a start.
Klopp made sure to praise Darwin Nunez, who scored against Ajax in midweek for the fourth goal of a busy October.
He said: “The steps he’s making are really big, and that means automatically he settles in more and more. The potential is incredible, and it’s not only speed – the attitude is really good, he’s a real worker.”
Long-term absentees Luis Diaz, Arthur, Joel Matip and Diogo Jota all remain out of contention.
Predicted Liverpool XI:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Nunez.
