Although France have a lot of doubts hanging over the ahead of their attempted defence of their crown as World Cup champions this winter, Lionel Messi has piled praise onto star forward Kylian Mbappe.
The Frenchman is their shining light in attack and of course Messi’s team-mate at club level with Paris Saint-Germain.
Recently, Mbappe has raised eyebrows around France by declaring that he has “more freedom with the national team, they ask me to do other things than PSG”.
Messi’s admiration of Mbappe
Messi has now spoken out about Mbappe’s talent and is a huge admirer of his club-mate.
“Kylian is a different player,” Messi told TUDN. “He’s a beast, he’s very strong one-on-one, he finds space and he’s very quick.
“He can score a lot of goals, he’s a very complete player and he’s been showing it for years.
“He’s going to be one of the very best in the next few years, no doubt about that.”
PSG’s good start to the season has been somewhat overshadowed by reports that Mbappe and fellow superstar Neymar are not on the best of terms and have even clashed on the pitch at times.
