Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to indicate he has a revealing interview planned in the coming weeks that will confirm the “truth” about speculation around his future.
Ronaldo, 37, has seemingly found a lack of interest in his services for the first time in his career as he reportedly seeks a move away from Old Trafford.
Some of the biggest clubs in the world – including Juventus, Chelsea, and Atlético Madrid – have all reportedly turned down the chance to sign one of the greatest players the game has ever seen, but the Portuguese star believes most media reports focusing on his future have been inaccurate.
Responding to a Ronaldo fan page’s post on Instagram criticizing the above speculation, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner added fuel to the fire by teasing a telling interview.
His comment read: “They will know the truth when [sic] the interview in a few weeks. The media is only telling lies. I have a laptop and in the last few months out of 100 reports that have only had five [accurate] hits, imagine how things are.”
Ronaldo made his first start of the season in United’s embarrassing 4-0 loss to Brentford.
