Napoli join the race for free agent Paulo Dybala

Napoli have reportedly joined the race for Paulo Dybala, who is available on a free transfer after parting ways with Juventus.

While Inter Milan appear to be closing the Argentine striker’s contract, the race looks set to close after negotiations are suspended between the two sides.

According to Calciomercato.com, Partenopei has opened talks with Dybala’s team over what has already been a four-way transfer battle with Serie A rivals Inter, AC Milan and Roma. In addition, there are also interesting rumors from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

The Partenopeis appear to be keen on their plans for the summer transfer window, with rumors of their interest in Cristiano Ronaldo, who wants to leave Manchester United.

The need to intensify attacks has increased following the departure of Lorenzo Insigne, as well as by the uncertain future of Dries Mertens, Matteo Politano and Victor Osimhen.

Having already announced the arrival of talented Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaretskhelia, Napoli have now identified Dybala as their signing player.

However, Inter are still limited in their pursuit of Dybala, which is crucial to joining the Nerazzurri.

In addition, wage demands prove to be a stumbling block for some applicants as they reportedly demand more than € 7 million per season – a salary they receive from the Bianconeri.

The Rossoneri have second thoughts on eye-catching statistics, while the Roma and Naples are believed to be out of favor.

Although Inter are clearly leading the race for the 28-year-old, there are many uncertainties over a possible deal, especially after the arrival of Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku – who could close Dybala’s chances at the San Siro.
