Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has insisted he is not worried about the club’s failure to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian midfielder has been at the top of Real Madrid’s transfer list this summer but has instead agreed to move to Manchester City, with Premier League officials confirming the deal is coming to an end.

Carlo Ancelotti was asked about missing Erling Haaland’s signature at a recent press conference, in which he emphasized that his team was big enough without a 21-year-old player.

“Eish, I don’t really want to talk about this,” Carlo  Ancelotti began.

“He’s a great player, Man City are a great team, but I’m still on my team, which led to me enjoying another UEFA Champions League final.”

With Haaland not moving to the Santiago Bernabeu, Ancelotti will keep his faith in Karim Benzema. The 34-year-old is among the favorites to win this year’s Ballon d’Or, having scored 43 goals in most of his team’s games this season.

With that being said, Real Madrid officials are still working on a deal to sign Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain, with sources close to the Spanish club. they are still confident of securing a deal.

However, PSG sources have reiterated their belief that they have convinced Mbappe to write an extension – a final decision from the Frenchman is expected soon.

Real Madrid have already secured one signing this summer, with Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer to Chelsea.
