Man United youngster to be rewarded with new contract following stellar season

Garnacho

The 17-year-old joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and wasted no time in making a name for himself at Old Trafford. His prowess this season, including scoring two goals in the FA Cup Youth finals earlier this week, looks set to land him a new contract with the club.

This was reported by the Daily Mail, who said he would be the latest Manchester United youth to sign a new contract shortly after emerging from their first team, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga among the former to do so.

Alejandro Garnacho was again named Manchester United’s youngest player this week and in addition to his excellent campaign, he was given the opportunity to taste international football after being called up to the Argentine team in March.

It can be said that this season has been Alejandro Garnacho’s campaign and his rise to prominence is rare. Ralf Rangnick has been reluctant to give United youth minutes into the closing games of the season so his consistent naming of Alejandro Garnacho in match-fixing squads means.

Rangnick has a world-class talent and although he was not involved in bringing him to United from Spain, his decision to promote him to the first team to train could do him a good job in the world.

Alejandro Garnacho could follow in the footsteps of Elanga, who became a first-team regular after signing a new long-term contract with the club.
